A Frictionless Process
Step 1: Requirements
From a recorded conversation discussing your objectives, and us asking focused questions for clarity, we will produce an application requirements document for your approval. As necessary, back and forth communication will occur in order to refine the requirements.
Step 2: Sample Screens
We will provide you several high fidelity screens from the requirements list in order to get your approval on UI style (e.g. colors, fonts, layout etc).
Step 3: Quote
We will provide you a firm quote and timeline for your approval. Similar to a "speed chess" timer, we keep track of how many days the project is in our domain and commit to a maximum number of days. If we exceed this maximum, a discount will be applied to the agreed upon price.
Step 4: Application Development
As we design and development the application we will send to you all application pages for your review and approval, along with clarifying questions as needed.
Step 5: Delivery
The application will be delivered to you tested and debugged on our end. You may add a mutually agreed upon testing period on your end. All bugs discovered from your testing will be resolved within an agreed upon time period.
The fine print...
Speed matters.
At 40xDev, we like 40x faster than typical development timelines. Thus, after finalizing your system requirements and UI/UX design, we deliver your custom app on or before the promised completion date (usually weeks not months). If not delivered on time, then a 10% discount is applied to the agreed upon price for each week past the deadline.
We ensure comprehensive and easy-to-read documentation so that developers new to the code can quickly maintain and iterate. Additional costs will apply if you would like us to maintain and/or add new features to the app,.
All communication and work is done in the United States. We never sub-contract any services off-shore, thus avoiding challenges with language barriers and/or cultural differences.
At the beginning of the project, you place the entire agreed upon payment in an escrow account with escrow.com. Once you are fully satisfied with the performance of your custom app, (1) we deliver the code to the escrow.com secure storage, 2) you acknowledge acceptance of the app through escrow.com, 3) escrow.com releases the code to you, and 4) escrow.com releases the escrow funds to us.
